Bruno Mars received engraved gifts from record company
Bruno Mars and his bandmate received engraved gifts from their record company as part of a thank you for the success he brought to the label.
According to the Sun, the singer, who celebrated with industry-members at a party in the Hollywood Hills last week, was given a boxed gold Rolex watch weighing 24-carats along with fellow musician Philip Lawrence.
However, when an emotional Mars came to open his case he found it was empty and asked if his bosses were having a joke.
The timepiece was missing because an assistant had forgotten to replace it after having the words "Once a hooligan, always a hooligan" engraved on it.
In addition to the watch, Mars also accepted a cheque worth £1.2 million from his record label at the celebratory event.
Meanwhile, Celine Dion may have received some personalised gifts from fans and well-wishers when she arrived back in Las Vegas.
The singer, who gave birth to fraternal twins last autumn, returned to the Strip with her babies, son Renee and husband last week.
